BTI Bioinformatics Core dedicates a retreat to engineering and automation

While part of the team was on the other side of the world at ISPNO, Bailey, Rehman, Alex, and Aylar spent a day and a half at a focused Bioinformatics Operations retreat, dedicated entirely to engineering and automation.

The goal: design a data model to support archiving Cavatica workflow versions, and build a framework for associating those workflow versions with their corresponding files hosted on S3. The retreat combined collaborative planning, data model design, and hands-on development to push forward the Core’s data warehousing and research operations capabilities.

Thank you, Bailey, Rehman, Alex, and Aylar, for carving out this time to build infrastructure that will pay off for the whole Core.
