The Rokita Lab

A great day at the CCIR Retreat

It was great to be back at Children’s National Hospital for the annual Center for Cancer and Immunology Research (CCIR) Retreat!

A real highlight was meeting several Rokita Lab and BTI Bioinformatics Core members in person for the first time. Dr. Corbett and Dr. Goswami both gave flash talks on behalf of the lab and did a fantastic job representing our work — congratulations to Ryan on winning best flash talk of his session! 🏆

The whole day was educational, fun, and a great reminder of just how much science is happening across CCIR. Days like this are also the clearest argument for team science: the questions we care most about in pediatric cancer don’t get answered by any one lab or discipline alone. Excited for what comes next.

Big thanks to the organizers for putting it all together!
