Dr. Goswami wins first place abstract at the CHARM symposium
CONGRATULATIONS to our Staff Scientist, Dr. Meghali Goswami, for winning first place abstract and giving a lightning talk at the CHARM symposium, the 4th Annual Cell and Gene Therapy Symposium in the Mid-Atlantic Region! 🏆
The symposium was held on October 28 at the Children’s National Research and Innovation Campus, bringing together leaders from industry, academia, healthcare, and government to share the latest advances in cell and gene therapy. Dr. Goswami presented her preclinical research molecularly and phenotypically validating tumor-enriched splice junctions in pediatric brain tumor models, building upon work from our computational wizards in the lab, Dr. Ryan Corbett and Dr. Patricia Sullivan. We hope to one day convert some of our findings into a tangible therapy.
Coming just days after our wins at the GW Bioinformatics Symposium, it has been such a proud two weeks for the Rokita Lab! So proud of you, Meg! ✨
