Dr. Rokita begins mentoring postdocs at CHOP

Dr. Rokita has started volunteering as a postdoctoral mentor through the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) mentoring program! As a former CHOP postdoc herself, she is excited to give back by supporting the next generation of researchers at the institution where she spent nearly a decade of her career.

Dr. Rokita knows how transformative strong mentorship can be, especially for students and early-career professionals who may not have had the same opportunities, networks, or support systems as their peers. Having benefited from exceptional mentors throughout her career, she is passionate about paying that forward. As a first-generation college graduate from a disadvantaged background, she is particularly committed to helping young women and others from underrepresented backgrounds build confidence, navigate challenges, and recognize their potential.

Mentoring is one of the most rewarding parts of her role, and she values the chance to support others as they pursue ambitious goals and build fulfilling careers.
