Introducing OpenPedCanExpress

We are excited to share OpenPedCanExpress, a new web tool for exploring gene expression across pediatric tumors and normal tissue controls! Search any gene and instantly compare its expression in pediatric brain tumors against normal brain tissue, all in your browser with no code required.

You can compare primary tumors from PBTA, TARGET, GMKF, and DGD by histology and molecular subtype. Normal controls include GTEx brain, pediatric normal brain regions, developmental timepoints, and brain cell types. Plots are interactive, with per-sample tooltips and a log2 scale toggle. You can also export publication-ready figures as PDF, JPG, PNG, or SVG at 300 DPI.

OpenPedCanExpress is built on data from the OpenPedCan project and uses the same plot groups and color scheme as TAPESTRY for consistency across our tools. Try it at rokitalab.github.io/OpenPedCanExpress, and find the code on GitHub. We would love to hear your feedback!
