The Rokita Lab

A strong showing at Children's National Research, Education, and Innovation week!

Congratulations to Children’s National Hospital on another outstanding Research, Education, and Innovation (REI) week!

The Rokita Lab has been open for just over a year, and the Brain Tumor Institute (BTI) Bioinformatics Core has supported the BTI and the Center for Cancer and Immunology Research (CCIR) for a similar stretch of time — and our team already had a lot to show for it. This year, we presented 5 posters led by our own team members and contributed bioinformatics expertise to 9 more across the BTI and CCIR.

That level of engagement reflects the collaborative culture that drives research forward here at Children’s National, and it’s exactly the kind of teamwork that strengthens the impact of the science we do together.

Huge thanks to everyone who led and contributed to this work — Ryan Corbett, Patricia Sullivan, Meghali Goswami, Akhil Chada, Kaylyn Clark, Jessica Daggett, Chao Di, Shang-Yang Chen, Alex Sickler, Aylar Babaei, Bailey Farrow, and Bicna Song — and to our collaborators across the BTI and CCIR, including Drs. Adriana Fonseca Sheridan, Dalia Haydar, Russell Cruz, Sridevi Yadavilli, Brian Rood, and Roger Packer.

We’re looking forward to building on this momentum as our programs continue to grow.
